Basketball Recap: Wauzeka-Steuben's Loss Ends 14-Game Winning Streak at Home

Wauzeka-Steuben entered their contest against Belmont on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wauzeka-Steuben Hornets took a 52-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belmont Braves. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Wauzeka-Steuben's defeat ended a 14-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 11-3. As for Belmont, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.

Wauzeka-Steuben will welcome De Soto at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Belmont has already played their next match (against Benton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
