Softball Game Preview: Mt. Ararat Eagles vs. Brunswick Dragons

Mt. Ararat is 2-8 against Brunswick since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Eagles will square off against the Dragons at 4:15 p.m. Mt. Ararat will be strutting in after a win while Brunswick will be coming in after a defeat.

Mt. Ararat took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Monday. Everything went their way against Cape Elizabeth as they made off with a 12-3 victory. The Eagles' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Brunswick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 10-0 to Edward Little.

Brunswick's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Mt. Ararat, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Mt. Ararat skirted past Brunswick 8-7 when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Do the Eagles have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
