Baseball Recap: Valley Heights Comes Up Short

Valley Heights was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 11-7 to the Onaga Buffaloes. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Buffaloes this season, with their most recent loss being a 10-0 defeat back in April.

Jacob Vathauer made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Hudson Nemechek was another key player, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Valley Heights' loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Onaga, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Buffaloes beat Valley Heights by a score of 13-0 later that day.
