Softball Recap: Purchase Line Takes a Loss

Purchase Line was the 16-6 winner over Homer-Center when they last played one another two weeks ago, but their luck changed this time around. The Red Dragons fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Red Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Alorra Phillips made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and three RBI. Rylee Adams was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

Purchase Line's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Homer-Center, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Purchase Line will take on rival River Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Red Dragons 4, the Panthers 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Homer-Center is set to challenge their familiar foe West Shamokin at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
