Basketball Recap: Booker Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Reydn Rosales and Julian Barton

After flying high against Darrouzett last Friday, Booker came back down to earth. The Booker Kiowas took a 42-26 bruising from the Follett Panthers on Wednesday. The matchup marked the Kiowas' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Booker had strong showings from Julian Barton, who posted 12 points and eight boards, and Reydn Rosales, who had eight points and six rebounds. Barton has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times he's played.

Even though they lost, Booker smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 11 consecutive games.

The defeat snapped Booker's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-6 record. As for Follett, they pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season.
