Peninsula is 8-2 against Gig Harbor since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Seahawks will challenge the Tides at 6:00 p.m. Peninsula's pitching crew has only allowed four runs per game this season, so Gig Harbor's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Peninsula is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering River Ridge just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 9-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks.

Meanwhile, Gig Harbor came tearing into Wednesday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.4 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the T-Birds 14-1. The Tides might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six runs or more this season.

Gig Harbor pushed their record up to 13-2 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Peninsula, their loss dropped their record down to 12-6.

Peninsula might still be hurting after the 14-2 defeat they got from Gig Harbor in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Seahawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
