Basketball Recap: Kim/Branson Piles Up the Points Against Trinidad

Kim/Branson had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Trinidad Miners, posting a 64-34 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Mustangs have posted since January 19th.

David Gamez went supernova for Kim/Branson, going 12 for 19 on his way to 25 points in addition to six boards and four steals. Those 25 points gave Gamez a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Rosas, who posted 11 points along with seven boards and six steals.

Isaiah Moreno and Jeremiah Romero certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Moreno put up 17 points, while Romero had 11 points.

Kim/Branson didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-16 victory against Walsenburg on the 5th. As for Trinidad, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 40-39 win against Varsity Opponent on the 5th.
