Basketball Recap: Patrick Henry Comes Up Short

Patrick Henry lost against Highland Springs back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Patrick Henry Patriots had to suffer through a 71-41 loss at the hands of the Highland Springs Springers. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 232nd, while the Springers are ranked 53rd).

Patrick Henry has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Highland Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Patrick Henry will host Mechanicsville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Patrick Henry is facing Mechanicsville at the right time seeing as Mechanicsville is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. Highland Springs has already played their next contest (against Henrico), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
