Football Recap: Foundation Christian Academy Piles Up the Points Against Four Corners

Foundation Christian Academy hadn't done well against Four Corners recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Panthers breezed past the Coyotes to the tune of 56-22. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row dating back to last season.

Foundation Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tristan Cornish led the charge by rushing for 99 yards and three scores on only eight carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Cornish a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Doughlin, who rushed for 92 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Foundation Christian Academy's defense and their 6.5 sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Jacob Young and Joshua Hight, who racked up four sacks between them.

Foundation Christian Academy's record is now 2-0.

Foundation Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 26-20 win against Donahue Catholic on the 29th. As for Four Corners, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Riverview Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 12th.
