Immaculata-La Salle had won five straight games and Alexandra Gonzalez Casar did her part to make it six on Monday. The Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions came out on top against the Coral Gables Cavaliers by a score of 49-37 thanks in part to Gonzalez Casar, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in blocks (four).

Candy Cruz was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 14 rebounds. Cruz is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.

Coral Gables' loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Aniyah Coffie, who posted 13 points, and Jasmin Abu-Zaraybah, who had nine points.

Immaculata-La Salle's victory bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Coral Gables, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Immaculata-La Salle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 50-29 defeat against Calvary Christian Academy on the 11th. As for Coral Gables, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-29 loss against TERRA Environmental on the 12th.
