Basketball Recap: Newcomb Takes a Loss

Newcomb suffered their biggest loss since February 28, 2024 on Tuesday. They took a blow against the Tohatchi Cougars, falling 65-31. The Skyhawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-16.

Newcomb is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-8. As for Tohatchi, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-9.

Coming up, Newcomb will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Crownpoint at 7:00 p.m. As for Tohatchi, they will head out on the road to square off against Wingate at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tohatchi has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
