Soccer Game Preview: Veritas School vs. Norfolk Christian

The Veritas School Lions will face off against the Norfolk Christian Ambassadors at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Veritas School is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: Benedictine, who was ranked ninth at the time (Veritas School was ranked sixth). The Lions fell 4-2 to the Cadets on Tuesday. The loss continues a trend for Veritas School in their meetings with Benedictine: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, Norfolk Christian's game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against Catholic, falling 5-2.

Harrison Shaffer and Aaron Purcell scored both of Norfolk Christian's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 19 goals.

Veritas School's defeat dropped their record down to 11-4. As for Norfolk Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1.
