Baseball Game Preview: Atlantis vs. Southeastern RVT Hawks

Atlantis are taking a road trip to face off against the Southeastern RVT Hawks at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Atlantis made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Sturgis West, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Atlantis blew past Sturgis West 14-6 on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for Atlantis.

Anthony Furtado was a standout: he scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Jasiah Handler was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Southeastern RVT). They had just enough and edged out Wareham 11-10 on Wednesday. Considering the Hawks' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Southeastern RVT's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Atlantis, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
