Basketball Game Preview: Clay County Bulldogs vs. Clarkrange Buffaloes

The Clay County Bulldogs will take on the Clarkrange Buffaloes on Wednesday. Clay County is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

Last Monday, Clay County didn't have too much breathing room in their game against East Robertson, but they still walked away with a 46-42 victory.

Meanwhile, Clarkrange posted their closest win since November 23, 2024 on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pickett County, sneaking past 60-57. The game was the first time the Buffaloes have beaten the Bobcats on their court since February 1, 2022.

The victory was the third in a row for Clarkrange, bringing their record for this year to 16-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for Clay County, they now have a winning record of 11-10.

Clay County didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Clarkrange in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 46-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Clay County since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
