Recap: Coronado Cougars vs. Desert Pines Jaguars

The Coronado Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They breezed by Desert Pines at home to the tune of 95-65. The win was familiar territory for Coronado who now have six in a row.

Coronado got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tee Bartlett out in front who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 12 rebounds. Bartlett is absolutely dominating the rebound category: he's posted at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josiah Cunningham, who scored 22 points.

Coronado's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-8. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.6 points per game. As for Desert Pines, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Coronado won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Centennial at 6:30 p.m. on January 25th. As for Desert Pines, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Arbor View at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully Arbor View focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 last Saturday.
