Basketball Recap: Clark Montessori Comes Up Short

Clark Montessori lost against Miami Valley Christian Academy back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Clark Montessori Cougars were outmatched by the Miami Valley Christian Academy Lions and fell 50-16. The Cougars were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-8.

Leading Miami Valley Christian Academy to victory were Lucy Rosen and Hailey Farmer. Rosen almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds, while Farmer went 5 of 12 en route to 13 points and four steals. Rosen is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Ellie Meade, who posted two points and five steals.

Clark Montessori's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Clark Montessori Cougars duke it out with the Lockland Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lockland will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Clark Montessori surely won't give up without a fight. As for Miami Valley Christian Academy, they will take on Blanchester at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Miami Valley Christian Academy is facing Blanchester at the right time seeing as Blanchester is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
