Volleyball Recap: Turpin Spartans vs. Milford Eagles

Turpin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Milford Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 8th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-7, 25-14.

Drew Ward was the offensive standout of the game as he had eight digs and three aces. That's the most aces he has posted since April 2nd.

Turpin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Milford, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Turpin is set to square off against their familiar foe Walnut Hills at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Milford will face off against rival Kings at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
