Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Rochester Hills Christian

Rochester Hills Christian waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against Oakdale Academy by a score of 7-3. Seven seems to be a good number for Rochester Hills Christian as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Cameron Bronsing and Dean Jackson were major factors no matter where they played. On the mound, Bronsing pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Jackson pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Bronsing has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Bronsing got on base in both of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs, while Jackson went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Bronsing has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Caleb Carnwath, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. Ryan Van Camp also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Rochester Hills Christian picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 6-3. As for Oakdale Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Rochester Hills Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oakdale Academy, they will challenge Bloomfield Christian School at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
