Volleyball Recap: Walsh Find Success

Walsh's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Kim/Branson Mustangs. The win continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won six in a row.

Walsh had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 25-27, 25-15, 25-13, 25-22.

Jocelyn Tedder was the offensive standout of the game as she had seven aces and four digs. Those seven aces gave her a new career-high.

Tedder wasn't the only good server: Walsh was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 23 aces. They served 13 more aces than Kim/Branson's also-impressive total of ten.

The victory got Walsh back to even at 1-1. As for Kim/Branson, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Coming up, Walsh will square off against Holly at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kim/Branson, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Springfield on the 26th.
