Oviedo hasn't had much luck against Lake Howell recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Lions will square off against the Silverhawks at 7:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Oviedo is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Wekiva as they made off with a 17-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their one-run performance the game before.

Maile Dunn made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up three earned runs off only one hit. Dunn was even better at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.

In other batting news, Avery Madden and Scarlett Griffiths did most of the damage at the plate: Madden went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and one double, while Griffiths went 3-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
