Baseball Recap: Argonaut Gets the Win

Argonaut let Calaveras stack five runs on them in the sixth inning on Wednesday but luckily Argonaut prevailed anyway. The Mustangs came out on top against the Red Hawks by a score of 9-6. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Red Hawks: they've now won four in a row.

Grady Nash made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Argonaut let Jacob Teravskis and Jayden Logan run wild. Teravskis went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, while Logan went 1-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Those three runs gave Teravskis a new career-high. Julian Constance was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Argonaut's record now sits at 4-2. As for Calaveras, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-6.

Argonaut wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Cosumnes Oaks on the 6th. As for Calaveras, they have also already played their next game, a 9-0 defeat against Amador on the 5th.
