Softball Recap: Mason County Central Takes a Loss

Mason County Central lost against North Muskegon on Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Spartans lost 14-5 to the Norsemen. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by exactly nine runs.

Ellie Bendele made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.

Mason County Central has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for North Muskegon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mason County Central will face off against Fremont at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The Packers will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. As for North Muskegon, they will take on Grant at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
