Softball Recap: Eau Claire Memorial Old Abes vs. La Crosse Central Riverhawks

Eau Claire Memorial had lost five straight at home dating back to last season, but on Saturday they dropped their record down to 2-7 to make it six. They fell just short of the La Crosse Central Riverhawks by a score of 9-8. If the Old Abes were looking for revenge after losing 5-4 to the Riverhawks when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for La Crosse Central, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-6. Their hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
