Basketball Recap: Hough Piles Up the Points Against Harding University

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mallard Creek, Hough was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They really took it to the Harding University Rams for the full four quarters, racking up a 59-31 victory. The Huskies have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Hough was led to victory by Kate Breault and Chloe Galombeck. Breault went 7-for-14 en route to 18 points and seven rebounds, while Galombeck went 5-for-8 to rack up 14 points along with five assists and five boards. Thanks to that strong game, Galombeck now owns an excellent 41.2% three-point shooting accuracy. Another player making a difference was Sophia Zoerb, who posted nine points and three steals.

Hough pushed their record up to 17-6 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.7 points over those games. As for Harding University, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Looking ahead, Hough will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hopewell at 6:00 p.m. Hough is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season. As for Harding University, they will head out on the road to challenge West Mecklenburg at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Harding University is facing West Mecklenburg at the right time seeing as West Mecklenburg is stuck on a 15-game losing streak.
