Union Pines waltzed into their game on Wednesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Jordan-Matthews Jets.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Union Pines took every set by at least 14 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-6, 25-9.

Union Pines was led to victory by Madelyn Perkins and Allie Bauer. Perkins had 15 assists and five aces, while Bauer had 17 assists and four digs. Bauer has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more assists the last 11 times she's played.

They weren't the only good server: Union Pines was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive matchups.

Union Pines' victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Jordan-Matthews, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7.
