Volleyball Recap: Columbia Takes a Loss

Columbia lost against Midview back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Raiders lost 3-0 to the Middies. The Raiders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Columbia took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-20, 26-24.

Their offense was headlined by Lexi Miller and Karlie Arcuri, who picked up six kills apiece. Miller also shared the team's lead in assists with Mariah Gonzalez: they picked up nine each. Naziya Reid controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Columbia now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Midview, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Columbia didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Brookside on the 2nd. As for Midview, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Elyria at 6:00 p.m.
