It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Eastside can now relate to. They fell just short of the Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Lions' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Eastside saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bethanie Jimenez, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Eastside's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10-1. As for Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-9.

Eastside does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary, they will square off against South Pasadena at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Cardinals' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season.
