Softball Recap: LEE Takes a Loss

LEE was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 10-1 to the Burbank Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Volunteers of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2016.

Alayna Castellano was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in stolen bases. Leah Fisher also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

LEE's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Burbank, their record is now 7-2.

LEE has already played their next game, a 15-4 loss against Clark on the 5th. As for Burbank, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-0 victory against Jefferson on the 4th.
