Volleyball Recap: Acadiana Christian's Undefeated Season over After 12 Games

Acadiana Christian lost against Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool back in October of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions fell just short of Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool by a score of 3-2. The loss was the Lions' first of the season.

Acadiana Christian actually scored more points across those five sets (102-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 26-24, 16-25, 25-21, 18-25, 15-7.

When it comes to explaining why Acadiana Christian lost, don't look at Addison Boudreaux. Despite the final result, she had 16 digs and two assists. Boudreaux is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last six games she's played.

Having lost for the first time this season, Acadiana Christian fell to 10-1-1. As for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Acadiana Christian will welcome First Baptist Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Southwest Louisiana HomeSchool, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Christian Home Educators Fellowship at 5:30 p.m. on October 3.
