Soccer Recap: Lordstown Plays to a Tie

For the first time since September 6th, Lordstown was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. They and the Mineral Ridge Rams finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The game got a bit rough at times, as the refs handed out a total of three yellow cards before it was all over: Lordstown's Drake Moody and Yordis Lopez and Mineral Ridge's Dominic Gutierrez were all carded.

Lordstown's goal came courtesy of Jonah Force, who's now up to two this season.

Lordstown's draw gives them a new season record of 4-7-3. Meanwhile, Mineral Ridge's record is now 8-2-2.

Looking ahead, Lordstown will square off against Jackson-Milton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mineral Ridge, they wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 loss against Newton Falls on the 1st.
