DeSoto Central and Lewisburg are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2021, but likely not for long. DeSoto Central will head out to take on Lewisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. DeSoto Central knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Lewisburg likes a good challenge.

DeSoto Central's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Horn Lake 15-0. Considering the Jaguars have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Lewisburg's offense. They lost 10-0 to Oxford on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Patriots have suffered since February 28th.

DeSoto Central has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. Lewisburg's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-4.

DeSoto Central skirted past Lewisburg 6-4 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for DeSoto Central since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
