Football Recap: Pecos Eagles vs. Shallowater Mustangs
Pecos lost against Shallowater back in September of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pecos Eagles were outmatched by the Shallowater Mustangs at home and fell 57-6. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Pecos' loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Shallowater, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-2.
Pecos will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Lake View at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th. Shallowater will also get a bit of a break before their next match: they'll face off against Bushland at 7:00 p.m. on October 25th. Bushland knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Shallowater likes a good challenge.
