Basketball Recap: Holliday Continues Road Dominance on Tuesday

Holliday posted their biggest victory since December 5, 2024 on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Vernon Lions with a sharp 59-34 win. This was a revenge game for the Eagles: when they faced off against the Lions back in December of 2024, they had to take a 53-44 loss.

Despite the defeat, Vernon had strong showings from Key'Maria Mcbride, who almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds, and Marhianna Johnson, who went 5 of 12 on her way to 11 points in addition to five boards and four steals. The match was Mcbride's fourth in a row with at least ten points.

Holliday pushed their record up to 10-14 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Vernon, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-9.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Henrietta the next time they take the court. Holliday will host Henrietta at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Vernon will head out to face them at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
