Soccer Recap: Shades Valley Takes a Loss

Shades Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against the Lincoln Golden Bears, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Mounties can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama soccer rankings (they are ranked 120th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 34th).

Shades Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for Lincoln, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1-1.

Coming up, Shades Valley will take on St. Luke's Episcopal in a tournament on Friday. As for Lincoln, they will host Munford at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.3 goals per game this season.
