Recap: Copley Indians vs. Tallmadge Blue Devils
In what's become a running theme this season, the Copley Indians gave their fans yet another huge victory on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Tallmadge 67-28 on the road. The victory was nothing new for Copley as they're now sitting on ten straight.
Izzy Callaway was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Copley's points. Zoey Van voorhis was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Copley pushed their record up to 19-2 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.2 points per game. As for Tallmadge, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Copley will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Gilmour Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tallmadge, they will head out on the road to face off against Hoover at 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Hoover will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 370th, while Tallmadge is ranked 183rd).
