Volleyball Game Preview: Hoffman Estates Hawks vs. Lake Park Lancers

The Hoffman Estates Hawks will challenge the Lake Park Lancers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hoffman Estates is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

Hoffman Estates is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over Rolling Meadows.

While Hoffman Estates won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 26-24.

Hoffman Estates' success was spearheaded by the efforts of Nathaniel Ham, who had 17 assists, and Spencer Cruz, who had 11 digs.

Meanwhile, Lake Park earned a 2-0 win over South Elgin on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Storm: they've now won four in a row.

Lake Park didn't let South Elgin take a single set, but it sure wasn't easy: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 29-27.

Lake Park's win bumped their record up to 24-11. As for Hoffman Estates, their victory bumped their record up to 15-17.
