Volleyball Recap: Powers Takes a Loss

If Powers was feeling good fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Glendale on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cruisers lost 3-0 to the Umpqua Valley Christian Monarchs on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Cruisers in their meetings with the Monarchs: they've now lost five in a row.

Powers' defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Umpqua Valley Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

Powers wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-1 loss against Elkton on the 25th. As for Umpqua Valley Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against North Douglas on the 25th.
