Football Game Preview: St. Francis Episcopal Wolves vs. Cypress Christian Warriors

The St. Francis Episcopal Wolves will face off against the Cypress Christian Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

St. Francis Episcopal gave up the first points on Friday, but they didn't give up any more after. They strolled past St. John XXIII with points to spare, taking the game 30-14.

Jamar Thompson was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 160 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 70 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Cypress Christian put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They beat St. Frederick by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 35-21. The win was all the more spectacular given Cypress Christian's disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 652nd in Texas, while St. Frederick is ranked 166th in Louisiana).

St. Francis Episcopal's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for Cypress Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-0.
