Basketball Recap: Lake Oswego Comes Up Short

Lake Oswego lost against West Linn back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lake Oswego Lakers had to suffer through a 81-50 loss at the hands of the West Linn Lions. The contest marked the Lakers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Lake Oswego dropped their record down to 7-8 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.7 points per game. As for West Linn, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Oswego will host Oregon City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Oregon City's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three games. As for West Linn, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the West Linn Lions challenge the Tigard Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. West Linn is facing Tigard at the right time seeing as Tigard is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
