Softball Game Preview: Chicago Christian Knights vs. St. Edward Green Wave

The Chicago Christian Knights will head out to challenge the St. Edward Green Wave at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Chicago Christian has now lost 13 straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 18.

Chicago Christian lost 12-1 to Chicago Hope Academy on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, St. Edward came up short against Timothy Christian on Wednesday, falling 11-5.

Sarah Gurley and Layne Dawson stepped up to the plate in a big way. Gurley went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Dawson went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Mackenzie Fitzpatrick also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

St. Edward now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Chicago Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-14.
