Softball Recap: Florence Takes a Loss

If Florence was riding high fresh off their 19-5 takedown of Bob Jones on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons came up short against the West Limestone Wildcats on Friday, falling 13-2. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Wildcats: they've now lost three in a row.

Florence's loss dropped their record down to 12-19. As for West Limestone, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 33-5.

Coming up, Florence will be taking part in a tournament against Colbert County at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for West Limestone, they are taking a road trip to face off against East Limestone at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
