Volleyball Recap: Compass Academy Starts off Right with Win over Pecos

Compass Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past the Pecos Eagles 3-0. Compass Academy hasn't had any issues with Pecos recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

One reason for the win was Compass Academy's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-10, 25-9.

Jalie Lankford paced Compass Academy's offense, picking up 15 kills. Lankford got some help from Bella Carrasco and her 20 assists. Camdyn Whitaker controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Despite the loss, Pecos still got an impressive performance from Fehaira Aguirre, who had eight digs.

Looking ahead, Compass Academy will be taking part in a tournament against Kermit at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Pecos, they will take on Burges at 8:00 a.m. on Friday.
