Basketball Game Preview: Centerpoint Knights vs. Fouke Panthers

Centerpoint and Fouke are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Centerpoint Knights will head out to face off against the Fouke Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Fouke will be up against a hot Centerpoint team: the squad just extended their winning streak to 11. Centerpoint simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Harmony Grove 56-11. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Hornets are ranked 265th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Fouke took on Bismarck on Friday. Fouke claimed a resounding 77-32 win over Bismarck. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.

Centerpoint pushed their record up to 15-2 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Fouke, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.

Centerpoint strolled past Fouke in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 55-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Centerpoint since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
