Basketball Game Preview: Michigan City Wolves vs. South Bend Adams Eagles

Michigan City and South Bend Adams are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2014, but not for long. The Michigan City Wolves will square off against the South Bend Adams Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. South Bend Adams took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Michigan City, who comes in off a win.

Michigan City is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Gary West Side 65-38. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Wolves have posted since November 8, 2024.

Meanwhile, South Bend Adams had to suffer through a 74-44 loss at the hands of Bremen. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Lions are ranked 63rd).

Michigan City has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-16 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for South Bend Adams, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-12 record this season.

Everything came up roses for Michigan City against South Bend Adams in their previous meeting back in November of 2018, as the squad secured a 68-28 victory. Will Michigan City repeat their success, or does South Bend Adams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
