There's no place like home for Alta, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Viewmont Vikings 9-7. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 6-4 win the Vikings walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.
Alta got a great performance from Levi Stevenson as he struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts Stevenson has posted since back in April of 2024.
On the hitting side, Crew Scheel was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Jose Periera, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
