Baseball Game Preview: Lincoln Trojans vs. Kimball Jaguars

For the second straight game, Lincoln will face off against Kimball. Lincoln will be playing in front of their home fans against Kimball at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Lincoln made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Kimball, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Lincoln was the clear victor by a 9-3 margin over Kimball on Monday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Trojans as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Joey Victor looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted two strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February.

On the hitting side, Lincoln got a massive performance out of Xavier Ayala, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 4-for-5. The dominant performance also gave Ayala a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Aiden Williams, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.

Lincoln was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Kimball only posted a batting average of .292.

Kimball is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9. As for Lincoln, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 6-8.
