Baseball Recap: The Village School of Naples Starts Season with Victory Against Naples Classical

The Village School of Naples took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Naples Classical Academy with a sharp 16-2 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Knights, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Nolan Baxter, who scored four runs and stole four bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Christian Horvath, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Village School of Naples will head out to face off against First Baptist Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Naples Classical, they will face off against Lely at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
