Baseball Recap: Roncalli Comes Up Short

Roncalli and New Palestine squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Roncalli had to settle for second. They came up short against the Dragons, falling 10-3. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Royals, who until this match were averaging 2.86 runs allowed.

Gio Ardizone was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Roncalli's defeat dropped their record down to 24-5. As for New Palestine, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 23-3.

As of now, neither Roncalli nor the Dragons have any future games scheduled.
