Coalfield has enjoyed a five-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Clinton Dragons at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Coalfield scored the most runs they've had all season to find success last Thursday. They walked away with a 14-10 win over Rockwood. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
Meanwhile, Clinton had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let Cumberland Gap onto the board and left with a 9-0 victory on Thursday. The win was just what Clinton needed coming off of a 10-0 defeat in their prior matchup.
Coalfield's victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-5. As for Clinton, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.
