Basketball Recap: 11 Straight Home Victories for Tyler HEAT

Tyler HEAT had won ten straight home games dating back to last season and Kedren Penney did his part to make it 11 on Tuesday. Tyler HEAT breezed by the Overton Mustangs to the tune of 74-35 thanks in part to Penney, who went 9 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Anderson, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. He has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last six times he's played.

Overton lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Rylan Holleman, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine boards. Bryce Still was another key player, putting up nine points.

Tyler HEAT's victory bumped their record up to 24-2. As for Overton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-5.

Tyler HEAT wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, an 83-31 win against Little Rock HomeSchool on the 17th. Overton has also already played their next game, a 71-31 victory against Cushing on the 17th.
